Install LAMP Server + phpMyAdmin on Linux


LAMP is an open source Web development platform that uses Linux as the operating system, Apache as the Web server, MySQL as the relational database management system and PHP as the object-oriented scripting language.

Its very easy to install LAMP server and phpMyAdmin on Linux machine.

To check that everything is ready and up-to-date type:

sudo apt-get update

Then install LAMP server:

sudo apt-get install lamp-server^

Here caret (^) is important to add at the end of the command. This will install any necessary packages.

** When selection box appears, check using space button, move to next using Tab button.

Lastly install phpMyAdmin:

sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin

Congratulations!! You have successfully installed LAMP Server + phpMyAdmin
